Fabcon: HR Transformation Through HR Integrations (ADP and UKG)
At Fabcon Precast, Krissy Alther believes in HR transformation. “We aim to transition our HR teams from the tactical and transactional to being strategic business partners. Implementing UKG Pro alongside ADP was a pivotal step in achieving this transformation.”
Initially, Fabcon faced challenges during the implementation phase. Already using ADP WorkForce Now, the UKG Pro rollout proved to be more complex than anticipated. Furthermore, the integration between the two wasn’t set up yet, leading to dual data entry and operational inefficiencies.
While UKG’s core HR portion was live, the integration, self-service functionalities and other modules remained pending. Krissy describes her experience with Joynd as Fabcon’s integration partner:
“Joynd knew we had to get it over the line, and it became a true partnership. As we started modifying things and needed to configure fields, Joynd was very accommodating – adding fields, changing fields, rerunning files, all in a very timely and patient manner.
“Because ADP doesn’t have an API for many employee changes yet, Joynd built a file to detect the changes, so that we wouldn’t have to do duplicate data entry for Job changes, Cost Center changes, Terminations, etc. They created a way for us to be less manual in the short term, consolidating everything into a single report.
“Upon go-live with self-service, our employees were able to do self-serve which was great, but it also opened the doors to possible user error. Joynd was always available and good at guiding us when issues came up. They were sensitive to our needs and customer service oriented.
“This is the demonstration of partnership. Joynd really cares about their clients, no matter the size of the organization.”
Now that the integration is in full swing, Fabcon is moving steadily towards the HR transformation that Krissy envisioned:
“Integrations are difficult enough, but Joynd’s understanding of how data works is IMPECCABLE. These are the people I want to work with and would recommend ten times over.”
